The Police Association Victoria (‘TPAV’) offers an exciting opportunity for an energetic, passionate, and highly competent communicator to engage with our 18,000 plus members on a day-to-day basis through our Member Support Centre.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide information and advice to members on first-line queries pertaining to industrial relations, welfare, TPAV campaigns, and member benefits and services
  • Respond to first-line correspondence and email/web-based queries in accordance with TPAV policy and member service delivery requirements

What we are looking for

This role will suit a sound communicator with strong customer service focus. You will enjoy working in smaller teams for an organisation that has a strong purpose. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from more experienced member engagement, communication and industrial relations professionals. Key to your success will be your ability to work collaboratively and to think practically and creatively. Maturity and discretion to maintain confidential or sensitive information is also an essential requirement, as are sound IT skills. Any industrial relations knowledge and/or experience is desirable but not essential. The applicant must have an understanding and commitment to TPAV’s objectives and values.

Remuneration

This role will offer necessary and ongoing training/development and attract a competitive salary and other generous benefits, including monthly RDOs and annual presentation allowance.

Any current serving Victoria Police member who takes up this position will have the opportunity to return to their sworn duties at Victoria Police should they wish to do so.
