Advocacy and campaigns

As well as advocating for the rights and entitlements for members at work and the ongoing improvement of working conditions, TPAV also advocates on a number of public safety issues which affect our members - at times indirectly - as a result of their work. As Police Officers and PSOs, our members often find themselves the first point of call for the community and therefore public safety issues influence and affect their work.


TPAV advocates in a number of ways including but not limited to;

  • Surveys and Research Reports
  • Submissions to inquiries
  • Lobbying Government
  • Participating in committees
  • Meeting with other Stakeholders (Local government, Councillors, advocates, other Policing Associations, other unions)
  • In the Media
