The Police Association Victoria is shocked and immensely saddened by the deaths of four of our dedicated members, who were killed while protecting the community on the Eastern Freeway.
 
As you would expect, The Police Association has mobilised all of its Wellbeing Support services, together with Victoria Police to provide immediate and ongoing support to the colleagues and families of those members.
 
We mourn their loss, we grieve with their families and you, their colleagues, and we will never forget them.
 
Members traumatised and/or triggered by this unspeakable tragedy are strongly recommended to seek immediate assistance by accessing the various services available to you, including;

Supporting the families of our four members who died in the Eastern Freeway tragedy

On the evening of Wednesday 22 April 2020, four of our members were killed on the Eastern Freeway while doing their job protecting the Victorian community.

It is an unspeakable tragedy that has sent shockwaves across our entire community.

Victoria Police Legacy, with TPAV’s unqualified support, has established a dedicated fund for the purpose of supporting the families and loved ones of our four heroes who have made the ultimate policing sacrifice.
