Occupational Health and Safety
The modern working environment of our members is inherently dangerous.
The workplace health and safety of our members is therefore of paramount importance to The Police Association.
The Association, through its specialist Occupational Health & Safety Officer, is committed to working directly with our members, their health and safety representatives, the Victoria Police Force and Worksafe to achieve a state of complete physical, mental and social wellbeing in their working environment.
This, of course, requires a concerted effort to reduce the incidence of workplace injury and illness among our members by taking preventative measures to eliminate and minimise workplace risks that can be hazardous to their health and safety. The Association urges all members to become actively involved in improving their workplace health and safety.
The material on this website relating to health and safety is intended to provide members with an added resource to find out more about the issue.
